I have a new build in Dural, Sydney and it has been suggested I plant large numbers of Hebe 'Pink Candy'. I am concerned they will not be reliable in Sydney humidity and fail after 2 years. Has anyone had good success with them? They have been paired with Xanadu and Arthropodium cirratum.
I have no experience with them in Sydney, Erica. But one things for sure – they’re always at their best when they’re young and vigorous. They’re nearly always left too long – way past their use-by date. Why not try them, and if they fail after a couple of years, try something else then? Hopefully someone from Sydney will address this at some point…
