Hi!
We have a narrow garden bed of less than 1m next to a path. Unfortunately landscapers heavily chopped back our neighbour’s overhanging pittosporum. So we now look at a tall scraggly on the other side of the fence and want to plant something in front of it - but with only 80-90 cm garden bed to do so! Any advice would be much appreciated. We are in Melbourne.

Would a mesh or batten height extension to the fence and the planting of a creeper be a better solution in this situation?
That would be a much better solution, in my opinion
